Seine-et-Marne: Teacher jostled by student at vocational high school files complaint

The student in question"has been banned from the school," said the Academy, which also explained that a disciplinary hearing will be held shortly. Finally, the director of National Education services in Seine-et-Marne visited Jacques Prévert High School on Monday morning to meet with the teaching staff.
A complaint has also been filed against the author of the video.
The aggressor is not the only student in the class to be targeted by a complaint filed by the school. Indeed, the academic director of the 77, Valérie Debuchy, told France 3 Paris Île-de-France that the author of the video was also the subject of a complaint.
On the union side, Maxime Reppert, national secretary of the national union for middle and high schools, is callingfor greater consideration to be given to teachers' well-being. If convicted, the 18-year-old attacker's sentence will depend on the number of days of temporary total incapacity (ITT) his teacher received as a result of the assault. Criminal lawyerAvner Doukhan explains that "If the period of incapacity for work is less than or equal to eight days, he facesthree years' imprisonmentand a fine of €45,000; if the ITT is more than eight days, he could facefive years' imprisonmentand a fine of €75,000." As for the student who filmed and posted the video, he could also face a maximum offive years in prisonand a €75,000 fine, according to the criminal lawyer.
